Favorite Amazing Memories

I have many favorite memories from this school year. One favorite memory is meeting Danica. She is so amazing and funny, she always makes me smile. Another memory is creating Beth our Knight At The Museum. We as in Kayden and Dani, we had so much fun creating our Knight. We even named her Beth because we loved making her so much. One more memory that I had this year is being in Home Ec. I have so much fun in that class learning how to use a sewing machine, making my pajama pants, and cooking. I love cooking with my friends I’ve learned so much, which is why it’s my favorite memory.

20% Project #6

I have been having such a fun time learning Italian. I had many accomplishments for this week. One accomplishment for this week was that I printed out a map of Italy and labeled all of the 20 regions and put the most popular capitols too. Another accomplishment I did was I explained how different Sicily is from Italy and how the languages are different. I had one struggle. My struggle was that I was talking to much and I couldn’t stay focused. Next week I will try better to stay away from that. I only had to make one adjustment for this week. This adjustment is that I had to work on my project at home. I left off writing my explanation and printing out my examples of what else Italy is known for. Next Monday or Tuesday I am going to work on finishing up my poster so then I can work on my note cards. Thank you for reading!

Mother’s Day Delights

My mom is the most important woman in my life. She is the most important because she cares and loves me. I like how she always takes care of me and how she brings me places that we have fun at. To add to that, I love how she always spends time with me. She has given me lots of special advice but something that I really appreciate is that however hard I try she will always be proud of me. A memory that makes me smile is when I got my first pet. It was my ninth birthday and my parents gave me this cage with a photo of a baby bunny inside. I was so excited and a couple weeks later we arrived at their home. There were so many little bunnies but there was this one that was all white with grey spots and the cutest little pink nose I have ever seen. Anyways the point is that my mom was there the whole time supporting me also taking photos to cherish this wonderful memory. My mom is many things and those things are why I love her so much!

This week I have achieved a lot. My accomplishments for this week was that I finished my overall goal and my goal for this week. My goal was to learn how to order in a cafe and introduce myself. The second accomplishment for this week was to get started on my trifold. So far for my trifold I have written the title and started on my pipe cleaner flag. What I mean by that is I am using pipe cleaners to create the Italian flag next to my title. I had no struggles this week. I made no adjustments this week. Next week I will hopefully get close to finishing my trifold. My idea for my trifold is to write words in English and then have the Italian version next to it. I will try to come up with more ideas this Friday while I am working. Thank you for reading.

Rad Reading-April

I have not finished reading Love and Luck by Jenna Evans Welch yet; I am currently on page 172.
This book is about a girl named Addie who goes to Ireland with her mom and three brothers, hoping to not be forced to attend aunt’s wedding. Over the summer Addie begins a relationship with her brother’s best friend named Cubby. She loves her brother Ian and they go everywhere together, but something happened between them and it all leads back to Cubby.
After her visit to Ireland, she was supposed to fly to Italy to visit her best friend Lina with Ian, but now they aren’t getting along. Suddenly their plans change and Addie finds herself on a road trip with her not so agreeable brother and his very Irish friend Rowan.

This book is about adventure, maturing, and love. I enjoy reading adventure books because it feels as if you are a character learning and growing with them. Love and Luck also talks about how maturing is a big responsibility in your life because if you grow up to fast then you will miss the small stuff from when you were young. I personally love romance books, like this one, and find it especially entertaining whenever there is tension between the romantic characters.

My favorite character from Love and Luck is actually a minor character and Addie’s older brother, Archie. I chose this character because he is the only one that cares about what is best for Addie. One quote that shows he is thoughtful is “I’m here for you, Addie.” This makes him kind hearted because he doesn’t want Addie’s feeling to get hurt in any way. Archie thinks about what Addie is feeling and how he can help her in her situations. He wants her to be safe and he wants to protect her as much he can. This character is also my favorite because he isn’t selfish, he wants to help other people become more confident and more outgoing.

My favorite quote from this book is “A good friend is like a four-leaf clover. Hard to find and lucky to have.” This quote is meaningful to me because it tells you that having a friend that will always be there for you is hard to find. It explains that when you find a good friend they will care for you, comfort you, fight for you, and love you. It is important because it reminds me that I will always have one.

Hello, this is Mia again back with some more Italian. So far has been really great. This week was great I was able to accomplish so much. This week I was able to accomplish sayings such as “This is a square.” Would be “Questa è una piazza.” Another example is “This is a pharmacy, right?” Is “Questa è una farmacia, vero?” I had no struggles for this week’s work. To stay on track I have changed all the days to practicing in duolingo if they haven’t been changed already. I did this because I’ve tried reading the book and it is difficult because without someone else saying the phrase it is harder to pronounce. I will keep trying to pronounce and read the book. Duolingo makes it more fun to learn. I left off on section 1, unit 2, lesson 3. Thank you for reading my blog. I look forward to next week!

Hello, again this is my third week of learning Italian. This week was amazing and I was able to accomplish learning saying like “There’s the theatre.” and “Where is the store.” For example how you would say that is “ Dov’è il negozio?”and “ C’è il teatro.” Also I remebered to bring my earbuds, so I was not distracted. I did not have any struggles this week. One adjustment I had this week was changing my calender to playing duolingo every friday from know on. Because I dont think I will ever look at the Easy Italian Saying book. Duolingo is just so much better and more helpful. Next time I will pick up at Section 1 , Unit 2, lesson 3. I will possibly try reading the easy italian sayings book but duolingo has taught me a lot. I am making lots of progress! I have already met my goal. Thank you! I hope you enjoy reading my blogs.

My Special Space

My favorite room in my house is my living room. In my living room there is a big gray couch in the middle of the room. Behind my couch is where my rabbits live and the right wall isn’t a wall it is a slider to the outside patio. The front wall is where the tv is. This is my favorite room because this is where I have the most fun when we throw parties because everyone is happy. Another reason why it is my favorite place is because that is where we watch movies as a family. One last reason is, on the weekends when I have friends over we watch movies and play games in the living room.

20% Project Week 2

Hi, my name is Mia, and for my 20% project I am learning Italian. This week was amazing and I was able to accomplish learning sayings such as “ He is my brother.” She is my mother.” and “No, she speaks Italian.” One adjustment I made was that I had to change my schedule from starting Easy Italian Sayings to starting my second unit in duolingo. I did this because the room was too loud for me to concentrate on reading, so I did duolingo instead but it is just as good as reading. I had no struggles during this week’s work time on duolingo. I left off on section 1, unit 2. Next week I will be starting the Easy Italian Sayings book and hopefully learn something new that I can share in my next blog. I have had so much fun learning Italian so far. Can’t wait for next week!

My Fantastic Spring Break

Over my spring break I went to Italy. Specifically Rome, Italy, the plane ride was so long it took my family and me eleven hours to get there. The first day which was the day after we arrived we went to the Colosseum. We woke up bright and early at six o’clock to head downstairs to breakfast. They had everything and my plate was filled to the brim with delicious looking food. On the left I had bright yellow pineapple and juicy green grapes. For the right I had fluffy eggs and crispy bacon. But on the bottom were golden brown cream filled croissants. After we finished we headed out to see the colosseum. It takes you twenty one minutes to walk from my hotel to the colosseum. Along the way we saw many churches, I drank from a nasone, and we visited the Trevi fountain. A nasone is a water fountain that we created because of all the aqueducts that the Roman’s built. The colosseum was beautiful and during our tour we got to walk below the hypogeum. They added walkways early in the colosseum existence after they decided to stop having water battles. I learned so much from my trip, it was lots of fun.
